In late 2010 and early 2011, one of our sub-contractor training provider did not meet the tutor to student ratio as stipulated by the SIA.
Get Licensed co-operated fully with the awarding organisation and the SIA during the process. The current management accepts the findings of the investigation however it should be noted that the malpractice took place. Get Licensed contacted all impacted candidates by post, email and phone to inform them of the outcome of the investigation and with an offer to facilitate free retraining to anyone impacted by this issue. To date, over 600 candidates have responded and have been retrained free of charge. Get Licensed have placed no time limit on the offer of free retraining and as such impacted candidates can contact Get Licensed at any time in the future to claim their free retraining
The only portion of the training affected is the Physical Intervention module. On some courses the required ratio of one tutor or every 12 students was not maintained. In order that your certifications and your SIA License is valid you will be required to take this portion of the course again with an approved training provider.
